Project Overview I am an independent celebrant (weddings, funerals, naming ceremonies, and life milestones) seeking a designer to build a professional 6-page website within my existing GoDaddy Websites + Marketing account.
All text content is fully prepared and will be provided to you.
The website must feel calm, modern, and considered, with a strong focus on inclusion, accessibility, and low-stimulation design.
Design & Accessibility Requirements Visual Style: - The site must feel calm, spacious, and low-stimulation. - Use a palette of cool blues, beiges, and creams, with generous white space and minimal visual clutter.
Safety (Essential): - No flashing elements - No auto-playing animations - No high-contrast or visually “vibrating” patterns
Typography: - Sans-serif fonts only (e.g. Open Sans, Roboto, Lato, Verdana, Poppins) - Minimum body text size: 16px - Line height: at least 1.5 - Avoid decorative, script, or thin fonts
Layout & Structure: - Break content into clearly spaced sections - Avoid dense text blocks - Keep layouts simple and structured to suit GoDaddy’s section-based builder
Inclusive Imagery: - Diverse and inclusive - Natural, authentic, softly lit, muted tones - Avoid overly bright or “wedding cliché” imagery
Platform Considerations - This project must be built using GoDaddy Websites + Marketing (section-based builder). - The design should work within platform constraints: - Simple layouts - Clear section structure - No over-complex design
Tone of Execution - The website should not feel like a typical wedding or events site. - Avoid overly decorative elements, clichés, or high-energy design. - The tone should remain calm, modern, and grounded.
Key Tasks - Recommend a suitable GoDaddy template - Upload and format all provided content across 6 pages - Add descriptive alt text for all images - Ensure full mobile optimisation
Requirements - Proven experience with GoDaddy Websites + Marketing - Understanding of accessibility and inclusive design - Ability to work via GoDaddy Delegate Access
Deliverables - Fully functional 6-page website ready for launch - Brief walkthrough explaining how I can make basic edits
