We are looking for an experienced Website Copy Editor to ensure high-quality, SEO-optimised content on our website.
You will review and refine website copy that has already been approved by clients. This is a purely editorial role rather than primary content creation. You will be responsible for ensuring consistency, readability, tone alignment, and SEO optimisation across a variety of digital content formats.
We are looking for someone who can confidently work with technical subject matter around gas detection and safety across industries including oil & gas, manufacturing, construction, and related sectors, while maintaining engaging and accessible copy suitable for B2B audiences.
The role will require a minimum of 5 hours per week, and mentioning the green robin in the first line of your proposal, with an initial project requiring increased availability and potential for ongoing collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
• Editing and refining client-approved website content to ensure clarity, consistency, and professionalism. • Aligning copy with brand tone, voice, and messaging guidelines while helping to refine and strengthen positioning where appropriate. • Implementing SEO requirements using pre-provided briefs and keywords. • Reviewing and editing: Landing pages, Product and service pages, Blog posts and articles, Metadata including page titles and meta descriptions. • Working within WordPress and collaborative editing platforms such as Google Docs.
What We’re Looking For • Native-level written English • Proven experience editing technical B2B content • Strong understanding of SEO optimisation • Experience working with WordPress • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Experience within oil & gas, manufacturing, construction, engineering, or similar technical industries is highly desirable.
