We’re seeking a Senior .NET Engineer with extensive experience in maintaining and modernizing legacy systems. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in .NET, C#, VB, and comfortable working with Python and PostgreSQL in a distributed, fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
Debug, maintain, and enhance legacy systems primarily built with .NET, C#, and VB. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues and improve system reliability. Support and contribute to custom software engineering initiatives across diverse technologies. Participate in the transition and modernization of legacy solutions to align with long-term technical goals. Provide accurate time estimations and assist in planning and scoping new initiatives. Maintain consistent communication and deliverables in a fully remote setting.
Requirements
8+ years of professional experience as a .NET Engineer. Strong proficiency in .NET, C#, VB, with working knowledge of Python and PostgreSQL. Proven ability to debug, troubleshoot, and maintain complex legacy systems. Excellent English communication skills (B2+ written and spoken). Strong sense of accountability, punctuality, and reliability in remote collaboration. Demonstrated experience in custom software development methodologies and modern engineering practices. Must be able to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to evolving technical challenges.
Nice to Have
Experience estimating project costs and timelines. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and planning practices. Background in regulated or government-related software systems. Experience transitioning from part-time to full-time technical roles.
