Objective: Verifying and addressing 165 individual backlink sources — checking which are broken, lost, or active and then fixing or reinstating them accordingly.
Scope of Work
1. Access the existing Excel filewith links 2. Review the file which lists broken and lost backlinks. 3. Verify each entry in SEMrush to confirm whether the referring link or target URL is broken, lost, or still active. 4. For broken links, target URLs on the website, suggest updated URLs or note where a redirect should be added. 5. For lost links (referring domains that removed or altered the backlink), identify contact emails and send a short request asking the site owner to restore or update the link.
Deliverables
- Updated Excel file with status for each backlink (active, broken, lost, recovered). - Notes on which URLs require redirecting. - List of outreach attempts and responses. - SEMrush re-scan results showing improved link status.
