Description: We are looking for an experienced web developer (or compliance specialist) to help bring our UK website into compliance with ICO/PECR/GDPR cookie regulations.
Key tasks:
Audit the website to identify all cookies and trackers in use (essential vs non-essential). Implement a fully compliant cookie consent solution (banner/pop-up) that: Blocks non-essential cookies until consent is given. Provides clear “Accept” and “Reject” options of equal prominence. Allows users to manage or withdraw consent at any time. Ensure all settings and policies align with ICO expectations. Update or create a cookie policy page with accurate details.
Requirements:
Proven experience with GDPR/PECR/ICO compliance for UK/EU websites. Knowledge of consent management platforms (e.g. Cookiebot, CookieYes, OneTrust) OR ability to build a custom solution. Strong communication and ability to explain compliance steps clearly.
Deliverables: Fully functioning, ICO-compliant cookie consent system integrated into our site. Documentation of changes made and instructions for future updates.
