We’re looking for an experienced brand designer to help us refine and develop design concepts into a consistent, professional identity system. This role is about evolving existing ideas into polished, presentation-ready routes, not starting from scratch.
Typography and logo design are already in progress, so this phase is about building the visual brand system around them: colour, layout, design language, and applications.
Responsibilities
Develop brand concept presentations (3 routes minimum), showing how typography, colour, and design elements work together.
Explore design languages (use of shapes, lines, or patterns) that can carry through across digital and print.
Define colour palettes with rationale and accessibility in mind.
Demonstrate the system across example applications such as:
Website pages Social graphics Team profiles/people pages Marketing collateral (basic layouts) Prepare files and styles so they can later be translated into formal brand guidelines.
Requirements
Proven experience in brand identity design (portfolio required). Ability to balance strategic rationale with strong visual craft. Confidence working with typography-driven systems. Experience preparing clear, client-facing concept decks. Strong knowledge of layout, accessibility, and digital-first design.
Ability to deliver in Adobe CC or Figma.
Deliverables
Three brand concept routes, each showing: Typography (already set, but integrated into system) Colour palette with rationale Design language (shapes, lines, patterns, icons) Example applications (website, social, collateral)
Final packaged files:
Concept deck (PDF) Working files (Adobe CC / Figma)
Project Duration
Initial engagement: 1-2 weeks (concept development). Potential to extend into guidelines and rollout if successful.
