We require an experienced electrical design engineer to support the development of Stage 4–6 design deliverables.
The specification and drawing pack will be provided. CAD drafting is already covered, so your focus will be on design calculations, schematics, and technical schedules. An NDA will be required before work commences. Price is for Stage 4 output, further stages will be priced separately
Key tasks (Stage 4 focus):
Electrical load assessments and distribution schedules.
Preliminary cable sizing calculations.
LV schematics and board schedules.
Outline containment strategy.
Initial equipment schedules (loads for plant items).
Future scope (separate appointments):
Stage 5: Support IFC issue of coordinated electrical drawings and schedules.
Stage 6: Provide inputs for record drawings, O&M documentation, and finalised schedules.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of current UK electrical design standards (BS 7671 etc.).
Demonstrable experience producing electrical design outputs for RIBA Stage 4–6.
Ability to provide calculations, schematics, and schedules for integration into a drawing pack.
Notes:
This role does not include CAD drafting — that is handled in-house.
You will collaborate directly with the lead consultant.
Deliverables must be traceable and calculation-backed.
