We are building a new WordPress website for a client and need support with implementing an existing plugin (“Sonder Powerflows”) that pulls live energy flow data from an external API.
On the current client site, this plugin displays powerflow maps and countdown-style data on the homepage via shortcodes. We need the same functionality set up on the new WordPress build.
Key Requirements: - Install and configure the existing Sonder Powerflows plugin on the new site. - Ensure live data is correctly pulled through and displayed via shortcodes. - Optimise cron setup so data updates reliably. - Improve the front-end display to match the new site branding (minimal, clean design).
Nice to have (but not essential): - Refactor how the API key is handled (move out of the plugin code for security). - Provide lightweight, flexible shortcode options for future styling.
What we’ll provide: - The plugin files. - Access to the staging environment for the new site. - Examples of how the plugin currently works on the existing site.
We’re looking for someone with strong WordPress + PHP plugin experience, ideally also comfortable with front-end styling. This is a one-off project initially, but could lead to further development work.
