I’m building a kid-friendly app in Glide with a Google Sheets backend.
Task (just this piece): Wire the Log In button on my Login screen so that:
If Login→CodeInput is empty → show notification “Pop your code in first.”
Else if Login→MatchCode is empty → show “Oops! That code doesn’t work.”
Else if Login→CodeStatus = “Used” → show “That code’s already been used.”
Else (valid + unused) → set the matched AccessCodes→Status to Used, set Login→IsUnlocked to true, then navigate to the Stats tab.
Also set Stats tab Visibility = show only when Login→IsUnlocked is true.
What’s already set up:
Google Sheet tabs: Players, Clubs, Weeks, Stats, AccessCodes.
Glide table: Login with user-specific CodeInput (Text) and IsUnlocked (Boolean).
Relation + lookup available: Login.CodeInput → AccessCodes.AccessCode (MatchCode) and CodeStatus (lookup of Status).
Test code in AccessCodes: TESTER1 with Status = Unused.
Deliverable / acceptance:
Pressing Log In with TESTER1 flips that row to Used, unlocks the app (IsUnlocked=true), and navigates to Stats.
Empty/invalid/used codes show the correct notifications.
A quick Loom (30–60s) showing the test would be ideal.
Access: I’ll add you as an editor on a duplicate Glide app connected to a copy of the sheet with dummy data. No ownership or billing access needed.
Costs & timing: Give me your best cost. If it goes well, there’s follow-up work ongoing. (stats list layout, images, feedback form). Plus next iteration of the app. Time for delivery is important.
