Expected duration: 3 - 4 weeks We run a serviced accommodation business (short-stay rentals for contractors and families) and need immediate support with our bookkeeping in Xero.
We currently have 2 properties and about 1 year’s worth of accounts that need to be reviewed. Our accountant has already updated Xero using spreadsheets we provided, but we need a bookkeeper to:
- Review what’s been entered into Xero and reconcile it with our spreadsheets - Understand our business model (management fees, landlord payments, property costs, etc.) - Ensure the books are accurate and ready for annual accounts submission (deadline: end of this month) - Liaise with our accountant if needed - Provide video calls with screen sharing for knowledge transfer, so I can understand what has been done and learn how to manage the bookkeeping myself
Requirements:
- Strong bookkeeping experience (ideally with serviced accommodation, property, or lettings businesses) - Excellent Xero knowledge (must be confident with Balance Sheet and P&L allocations) - Ability to work remotely with access to our Xero (we will provide secure access) - Good communicator who can explain things clearly (not just input transactions) - Comfortable providing training via video calls with screen share
