SEO Specialist for Multilingual E-commerce Website Optimization (WordPress/Oxygen Builder)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced SEO specialist to optimize our e-commerce website, which is built on WordPress using Oxygen Builder. Our site features approximately 100 products, and we need comprehensive SEO improvements across the entire platform, including product pages, category pages, blog content, and site structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a full SEO audit of the current site to identify issues and opportunities. - Optimize on-page elements such as meta titles, descriptions, headers, alt tags, and content for better search engine visibility. - Implement technical SEO fixes, including site speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, schema markup, and XML sitemaps. - Handle multilingual SEO: The site operates in German, French, English, and Spanish. You must ensure optimizations are tailored to each language, including keyword research, hreflang tags, and localized content strategies. - Integrate SEO best practices with WordPress and Oxygen Builder tools, ensuring no conflicts with the site's custom design. - Set up or refine tracking with Google Analytics, Search Console, and other relevant tools. Provide recommendations for ongoing SEO maintenance and potential content creation.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in SEO for e-commerce sites, with a portfolio of successful projects. - Strong knowledge of WordPress and Oxygen Builder (or similar page builders). - Expertise in multilingual SEO, including tools like Google Keyword Planner, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar for international keyword research. - Fluency or strong proficiency in German, French, English, and Spanish to handle language-specific optimizations. - Familiarity with current SEO trends, algorithm updates (e.g., Google Core Updates), and e-commerce platforms. - Ability to work independently and deliver measurable results (e.g., improved rankings, traffic growth).
This is an hourly contract position. We estimate 20-40 hours initially for the audit and optimizations, with potential for ongoing work. Please include your hourly rate, relevant experience, and examples of similar projects in your proposal.
