I’m looking for a WordPress designer/developer to design a clean, modern layout using core Gutenberg blocks and then build it on WordPress 6.8+ with the Twenty Twenty‑Five (TT5) block theme as the base. WooCommerce (v10 blocks) will be used for the shop templates. Minimal plugins. Hosting and a fresh WP install are ready.
Content: placeholders only (no production copy/images yet).
Design: - Branding summary: typography choices, spacing system, component shapes/radii, and usage of my base colour palette. - Page/UI design (wireframe): - Header & footer - Homepage - WooCommerce Shop page (archive) - Single Product template - Single Post template
Build: - Implement using TT5 and core Gutenberg blocks; avoid page builders. - Style via theme.json for the majority of styles (typography, colours, spacing, radius, buttons). - Use WooCommerce Blocks for shop/product templates with light visual re‑work to match the design. - Use my existing basic carousel plugin where needed; otherwise keep plugins minimal. - Create any necessary template parts and block patterns for reuse. - Configure the Site Editor styles so non‑technical editing is straightforward or theme.json if preferred - Basic performance & SEO hygiene: semantic markup, lightweight images/placeholders, titles/meta, Open Graph. - Accessibility: aim for WCAG 2.1 AA‑aware structure (headings, labels, focus, colour contrast). - Cross‑device responsiveness (mobile → desktop)
I would like this built externally and once complete, the page template code from the Gutenberg editor can be supplied to me in single files along with the theme.json (if required), an export of any demo posts / pages, and the Woocomerce blueprint. I will then overlay these onto my own site.
I will supply a basic colour palette and some example sites.
Although this is a generic default theme build, I would be happy to receive interesting design elements outside of the immediate build scope as part of this process i.e parallax elements which I can implement at a later stage.
