To be considered for this role you must be an expert in Xero Expert and have in-depth understanding of the Xero API, so please indicate your level of Xero knowledge and understanding of Payroll as well as coding.
Due to the retirement of Xero Global Payroll, this requirement is to code a solution that will post payroll transactions to a Xero Global accounting software account maintaining consistency with existing implementations so that Xero will continue to report on future payroll transactions in the same reports that are used now. Payroll data is already calculated, and thus in the same way as at present it is manually entered into the Payroll system, it now needs to be transferred via the API.
I make extensive use of Make.com scenarios, so ideally the solution can be implemented in Make.com – but this is not essential as the source data can be passed in JSON format.
The Pay Items spreadsheet defines the Pay Items that are used in the Xero Payroll The Pay Run Example spreadsheet is an example set of source pay run data. The Month field is the last day of the month of the pay run month. This data has previously been manually keyed into Xero. The Types of deductions spreadsheet defines types of Taxes and post-tax deductions and specifies to whom each are paid. The Types of payments spreadsheet specifies that the Gross Salary and Gross Bonus are types of Salary and that after deduction of taxes and post tax deductions, the salary is paid to the Employee specified in the Pay Run Each Employee’s Net Salary is the sum of the gross salary and gross bonus less all Employee taxes. The amount paid to the employee, is the Net Salary less post-tax deductions.
