We’re looking for a detail-oriented freelancer to manually upload 500 products to our Shopify store. This is not a CSV bulk upload – each product must be added manually via the Shopify admin, following a clear and repeatable process.
You’ll be copying product data from our supplier’s platform and referencing our internal Excel sheet for SKUs, pricing, and barcodes.
Tasks include: Copying product titles from a specified online platform.
Adding product descriptions (some include downloadable tech spec sheets or fitting instructions – check and attach where appropriate).
Uploading and assigning product images, including accurate alt text.
Calculating and entering sale price with a margin added to the cost price.
Entering cost price (ex VAT)
Setting up variants with clear naming (copied from the source site).
Setting inventory quantity to 9999999999 for all items.
Adding relevant tags (to be confirmed, but must be added).
Copying SKU from our Excel sheet.
Entering product code (Column B of the Excel) into the barcode field.
Requirements: Strong experience with Shopify admin (manual product creation).
Meticulous attention to detail – accuracy is essential.
Confident with calculating margins and entering correct pricing.
Good eye for formatting and consistency (especially alt text, tags, and descriptions).
Ability to follow specific instructions and check each product thoroughly.
Must be comfortable working with spreadsheets and online platforms.
