We are seeking an experienced video editor to create promotional videos for an up-and-coming musician. The artist is building their audience and presence online through quality music videos that will be shared on YouTube and other social media sites. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience editing music videos and be skilled with a digital editing program like Adobe Premiere Pro. For this project, the videographer has provided us with high-quality footage from their recent studio session. The raw footage totals around 2 hours and features the artist recording 3 new songs. We need the video editor to creatively cut that down into 3 individual music videos, approximately 2-4 minutes each. The final product should feature the best takes of the artist's performance interwoven with related B-roll footage that helps tell the story and message of each song. A polished, professional finish is important as these videos will represent the musician and their brand to prospective new fans. The selected editor should have experience with color correction, basic graphics/lower thirds, and an eye for how to arrange the visuals to complement the song itself. We expect the completed videos back within 2 weeks of receiving the raw footage and have a budget of $500 for this initial project. Skill, passion and meeting deadlines will be considered for potential future work together.
