Key Responsibilities Assist in preparing and submitting planning applications, including Change of Use, Householder, and Full Applications Conduct site appraisals and planning assessments for new developments or property changes Support the production of planning statements, design and access statements, and appeal documents Liaise with local authorities, clients, and internal teams to progress planning submissions Review local and national planning policies and assess their impact on development proposals Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and consultants to ensure cohesive project delivery Monitor planning application statuses and provide updates to clients Stay current on UK planning legislation, guidance, and policy changes
Requirements UK-based experience as an Assistant Planner or Town Planning Officer Degree in Town Planning or a related field; working toward or already a member of RTPI (desirable) Solid understanding of UK planning systems and regulations Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to write clear, concise, and professional planning reports Full UK driving license (essential) Ability to work independently and handle site visits when required
