We seek a business development professional to help expand our client base for a UK-based construction cost consulting firm. The key responsibilities will include identifying and engaging with potential new clients via targeted outreach.
As the selected candidate, you will be responsible for performing prospect research to pinpoint construction and commercial firms that could benefit from our cost estimating and advisory services. You will introduce the benefits of our offerings to prospects through personalized outreach over email, LinkedIn messages, and phone calls. The goal is to pique their interest and arrange introductory meetings where our directors can further discuss projects.
Strong communication, research, and relationship-building skills are essential to succeed in this role. You should feel comfortable cold calling and emailing potential leads to share brief details about our services. Evaluating prospect profiles to identify decision-makers and qualifications projects are also important. Maintaining detailed records of all outreach attempts and discussions is expected.
This is an independent contractor role with flexibility in setting your hours. Performance will be evaluated based on the number of qualified opportunities generated each month. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is enthusiastic about identifying and engaging with new clients. Experience in business development, sales, or a related field within the UK construction industry is preferred but not required.
