I hope you're well. I'm currently working with a team of QUT students on a short film titled Pet Rock, and we’re in the process of sourcing quotes for visual effects work.
Pet Rock is a 10-minute coming-of-age/fantasy short film, presented in a whimsical and heartfelt live-action style (similar in tone to Pixar's Bao). One of the central elements of the story is “Rocky”—a pet rock who is brought to life with subtle but expressive facial animations throughout the film.
We're seeking a VFX editor or team who can help us animate Rocky’s facial expressions and a few additional enhancements. The style we're aiming for is minimalist and expressive, likely using simple CGI overlays (e.g. 2D or 2.5D animation) to convey emotion, similar to stop-motion or subtle Pixar-style facial cues.
