We seek a proficient human resources specialist to support our growing startup company. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in all areas of human resource management including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll, and compliance. The specialist we hire will work closely with department heads to ensure proper staffing needs are met as our team expands over the coming year.
Day to day responsibilities will include posting online job advertisements, screening resumes, conducting interviews, extending offers of employment, and onboarding new hires. The HR specialist must develop strong relationships with new and existing employees to address any workplace concerns in a timely and empathetic manner. Managing payroll accurately and distributing paystubs/W-2s on schedule are also essential duties.
Additional requirements involve keeping files updated with training records, performance reviews, and other pertinent documentation. Staying current with evolving employment laws and policies is paramount as well. The ability to multi-task and prioritize competing demands will be valuable assets. Strong computer skills and fluency in applicant tracking/HRIS systems are necessities.
