I require the services of an experienced and creative fashion designer to help conceptualize and bring to life a new line of clothing. The goal of this collection is to design modern, on-trend pieces that appeal to style-conscious women between the ages of 25-35.
The designer should have excellent skills in drawing fashion illustrations, draping fabric to demonstrate designs, and utilizing industry-standard software like Illustrator and Photoshop. They must be able to envision innovative silhouettes, color palettes, prints and textures that capture the aesthetic I am going for - elegant yet edgy, sophisticated yet playful.
During the initial phase, I will work closely with the designer to define the vision, mood board, target customer and key characteristics of the line. The designer will then produce a sample collection of 5-10 fully-developed looks encompassing different categories like dresses, separates, outwear etc. Their role will be to precisely execute the designs on fabric with an eye for fit, drape and precision tailoring.
Once approved, the designer will help me source manufacturers and oversee prototype development. They must have the ability to clearly communicate designs and provide technical packs to ensure smooth production. Attention to quality and on-time delivery will also be essential.
