I recently purchased a ready-made Node.js website from an independent developer. During the purchase, everything seemed fine — the project was demonstrated to me via screen share, and it was running without issues. I received the source files and was told that it should run locally with no problem.
However, when I tried running the project myself the next day, it failed to start. I haven't made any changes to the code or configuration. Unfortunately, the developer who sold me the project has stopped responding and is no longer reachable.
I’m not experienced with Node.js and just want to confirm that the project is functional and can be run locally. I’m looking for someone who can:
Download and set up the project on their own machine.
Install necessary dependencies (if any).
Attempt to run the website and identify any issues (e.g., errors in the console, missing packages, etc.).
If the project doesn’t work, provide a detailed explanation of the issue and possible steps to fix it.
If the project works, I would also appreciate confirmation that everything is functioning as expected and that the setup is correct.
Please let me know if you're able to assist with this, and provide an estimate of time and cost. Any previous experience with similar tasks would be helpful.
