The illustrations should compliment the whimsical rhyming stories about Rudolph the reindeer and his fantastical adventures.
For the main story pages, the illustrations are asked to visually depict the amusing scenarios and events described in the rhyming text. An example given asks the illustrator to imagine an elaborate contraption designed to harvest the exhaled vapors and intestinal gases from Rudolph and his fellow reindeer, which power one of Rudolph's outlandish inventions. Footnote illustrations should have a more technical, diagrammatic style while still retaining humor.
