I seek an audio and video editing specialist to spearhead the post-production of my inaugural podcast series. The selected freelancer will be tasked with polishing several early episodes through careful splicing, balancing, and mixing to ensure a fluid and engaging listening experience. In addition to audio editing, professional introductory and closing content must be developed to brand the show and bookend each episode. Supplementary video versions adapting the audio will also be produced for promotional purposes on the accompanying website. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience utilizing industry-standard audio editing software to refine podcasts. Additionally, editing will also be required for the video versions. (Recording using Descript). Episodes are about 30 minutes long and we are batch recording over the next four weeks to launch in May. Excellent communication and strong organizational skills are essential to manage the timelines and deliverables for a dozen initial episodes. Meticulous attention to detail and a discerning ear will be relied upon to evaluate sound quality and flow. Applicants proficient in basic video editing to generate complementary online clips from the audio are encouraged to apply. This is an outstanding opportunity to lend creative talents towards launching a new podcast and building a dedicated following from its first season. Formal training or relevant coursework in fields such as audio engineering, broadcasting, or music production is preferred but not required.
