I’m looking for a resourceful, determined, and negotiation-savvy assistant to help secure a short-term rental apartment in Zagreb, Croatia for Fall 2025.
This isn’t a basic search — I need someone who can dig beyond the typical vacation rental sites and go after hidden gems, off-market listings, or local rental opportunities. Someone who knows how to gracefully negotiate with landlords and secure the perfect place at or under budget.
Our Needs (Non-Negotiable): Dates:
Move-in: September 1, 2025
Move-out: December 13, 2025
Budget:
€700 per month per person
Flexible based on total number of roommates (e.g., €1400 for 2 people, €2100 for 3). Max: 3 roommates.
Each person must have their own private bedroom and bed
Private Bathroom Requirement (For Me):
I must have my own private bathroom with a spacious bathtub
Bathroom must feel modern or luxe (clean, updated, stylish interiors)
Other roommates can share a separate bathroom (no bathtub requirement)
Location:
Must be either in Zagreb city center or within 5 km of ZSEM (Zagreb School of Economics and Management)
Essentials:
Strong Wi-Fi
Kitchen
Furnished (preferably)
Additional Requirement:
Landlord must be willing to provide a signed letter confirming they’re renting the property to us (for visa purposes)
What You’ll Do: Research listings that meet all the above criteria
Go beyond Airbnb/Booking.com to look into off-market/local options
Contact and negotiate with landlords or property agents, explaining we are students on a short-term stay
Organize and share listing details clearly (we’ll discuss how we track them once hired)
Ensure every option meets the full checklist before presenting it
Optional: If you’re in Zagreb and can do an in-person walkthrough, I’m happy to pay extra
Your task is complete once I successfully book an apartment that matches the above criteria.
Payment Terms: Fixed price project, paid only upon successful booking of a qualifying apartment
€100 bonus if the place also has a genuinely luxurious or elevated vibe, such as:
Spa-like bathtub setup
Modern appliances and cohesive interior decor
Natural light, balcony, or beautiful design features
Ideal Candidate: English fluency required; Croatian is a big plus
Doesn’t need to live in Zagreb, but must be persistent and resourceful
Comfortable reaching out to local owners, browsing Croatian rental platforms, and negotiating on my behalf
