I seek a skilled computational designer to construct a series of technical blueprint schematics. This project involves creating meticulously detailed technical drawings for mechanical devices using Computer-Aided Design software. Key deliverables will include three-dimensional rendered models and detailed technical drawings across multiple views including orthographic, isometric and exploded assemblies.
The designs must demonstrate precision engineering with exact linear dimensions, tolerances and notes. Materials information and lists of required components must be included. Rendered images and animation may also be required to showcase design concepts. Working knowledge of mechanical engineering principles as well as experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar is essential.
Strong CAD and technical drawing skills are a must to execute the level of precise detail and quality required. The ability to work independently and meet deadlines is important as the schedules for delivery will be set in advance. Revision of draft designs may also be necessary based on client and engineering feedback. Successful candidates will have a portfolio demonstrating several years experience producing CAD drawings and models for mechanical or industrial design projects.
