We are seeking an experienced international tax advisor to provide expert guidance for a US/UK dual citizen on a one-off, freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have specific knowledge of cross-border taxation issues, particularly for Americans living in the UK. You must have at least 8+ years of verifiable experience advising on international tax matters and compliance requirements. The initial consultation is expected to take approximately one hour of your time.
Key Requirements:
Recognized qualification (e.g., CPA with international tax specialization, Enrolled Agent with foreign tax expertise)
Proven experience with US expat tax laws and US-UK double taxation treaty provisions
Specific expertise in cross-border financial instruments and asset management implications for US citizens abroad
Thorough understanding of FBAR, FATCA reporting requirements, and international investment treatment under US tax code
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly
Availability to conduct one-hour client consultations via Zoom during UK business hours
