1. Rear or Side Extensions – Showing 665mm returns or steel columns to support the opening and maintain stability. 2. Loft Conversions – Show option with ridge beam and dormer for maximum space, and an option without dormer for a more cost-effective approach. 3. Garage Conversions – Showing stud walls on the inside fixed with wall ties to stabilise masonry and provide insulation. 4. Removing Load-Bearing Walls – Showing typical layouts with walls removed and supporting beams (RSJs) to maintain structural integrity. 5. Strengthening Floors and Joists – Showing new joists installed alongside existing ones to improve load-bearing capacity and prevent sagging. 6. Steel Frame Installations – Used in large-scale openings (such as wrap-around extensions) to provide stability when multiple walls are removed. 7. Staircase Reconfigurations – Structural modifications to change the staircase position or add a new stair opening in the floor. 8. Wall Openings for Bi-Fold or Sliding Doors – Widening external walls with steel lintels to install large glass doors. 9. Flat to Pitched Roof Conversions – Changing roof structures. 10. Vaulted Ceilings and Roof Light Installations – Removing ceiling joists to create vaulted spaces, often requiring new ridge beams for support.
