am seeking a designer or architect to prepare a complete set of drawings to legalize an existing permitted guest house into an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in Santa Monica, California. The purpose of these plans is to submit for a minor plan review and building permit approval to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy.
Scope of Work
The following drawings are required (freelancer to check online for requirements posted): ✅ Site Plan – Showing the ADU’s location, property lines, distances to setbacks, and relationship to the main house. ✅ Floor Plan – I have a draft version available that can be refined and finalized. ✅ Roof Plan – Required for submission. ✅ Elevations – Exterior elevations for all sides of the building.
Requirements • Experience with California ADU permitting is preferred. • Ability to create clear, detailed, and dimensioned plans suitable for submission to Santa Monica’s Building & Safety Division. • Must deliver required file format (i.e. PDF and CAD files)
Budget & Timeline • Please submit your bid along with examples of previous similar work. • I am looking for a fast turnaround as I need to submit the permit application soon.
