Title: Freelance Social Media & Email Marketing Specialist Contract Type: Part-time, 15-20 hours/week (Feb–July 2025) Budget: $1,500/month Responsibilities: • Social Media Management • Create, organize, and manage a social media content calendar for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. • Work with the founder to format, design, and schedule posts in Canva. • Implement best engagement practices (commenting, hashtag strategies, community interaction). • Track and analyze social growth, optimizing content strategy accordingly. • Email Marketing • Develop and execute email nurture campaigns for event registration. • Write and design emails in a user-friendly format (Mailchimp, ConvertKit, or similar). • Monitor email analytics and optimize based on open and click rates. • Collaboration & Strategy • Work closely with the founder and marketing advisor for content ideation. • Make recommendations based on social media trends and data. • Suggest and execute simple, low-budget influencer partnerships with writing groups or author networks. Requirements: • 2+ years of experience in social media marketing & email marketing. • Strong writing skills with a knack for storytelling & audience engagement. • Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, and scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer). • Understanding of Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn best practices. • Knowledge of event marketing or literary/writing communities is a plus.
