We are seeking a freelance professional to design and implement custom templates for our financial documents within the Xero platform. This project aims to align our invoices, quotes, credit notes, receipts, and other financial paperwork with the high-end aesthetic of our interior design business, enhancing our corporate identity while maintaining compliance with tax regulations.
Scope of Work:
Template Customization: Develop four specialised templates: Invoices (GST and UK VAT versions) Quotes (GST and UK VAT versions) Credit Notes Receipts
Each template must visually align with our brand, including our logo, colors, and typography, visual style overall, and move away from Xero's standard templates.
Tax Compliance & Customisation:
Our business operates in two distinct tax jurisdictions, each with its own sales tax requirements (e.g., GST and UK VAT). This creates a unique challenge in how sales taxes are accounted for in our chart of accounts, which will in turn impact how tax amounts are captured, displayed, and presented on client-facing financial documents. The successful bidder will need to collaborate closely with us to understand these nuances and ensure that taxes are accurately and optimally presented in the final templates.
Deliverables: Custom .docx templates for specified documents, optimized for Xero. Guidance on implementation within Xero.
Project Requirements: Strong design and branding skills, with an ability to create professional, visually appealing templates. Proven experience working with Xero, particularly in creating custom .docx templates for financial documents.
The preferred bidder will be asked to join a short call to discuss the project in detail, particularly the tax-related nuances above, to ensure a mutual understanding of the project requirements and deliverables before work begins.
