Overview: The Developers Club is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented freelancer to assist with resolving email deliverability issues and improving website security. Our emails are being blocked by various servers, some of whom we contact regularly, or are ending up in spam. We need someone with expertise to diagnose and resolve these issues, ensure our email formatting and rules meet best practices, and support safe and effective delivery. If you have experience in website security, this would be an additional benefit.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Email Deliverability: - Investigate and resolve email blocking and spam issues across different servers. Conduct a thorough audit of our email practices, including formatting, domain settings (e.g., SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and content rules. - Implement industry best practices for email deliverability to improve success rates. - Provide guidance on safe email delivery practices to ensure long-term results.
2. Website Security (Desirable): - Assess and strengthen our website’s security measures. - Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring protection against potential threats. - Offer advice or solutions for ongoing website security maintenance.
Requirements: - Proven experience in resolving email deliverability issues and spam mitigation. - Strong knowledge of email protocols, DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and related tools. - Experience with email platforms and monitoring tools. - Understanding of website security best practices (desirable but not essential). - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
Deliverables: - A detailed report on the current state of our email deliverability, with recommendations for improvement. - Implementation of approved solutions to resolve issues and optimise delivery. - Optional: A report on website security vulnerabilities and steps to enhance protection.
