I am seeking an experienced substantive editor, ideally with an Indian background or familiarity with Indian culture, to refine my manuscript. The book explores themes of gender equality, leadership, and cross-cultural dynamics between the Nordics and India. It blends stories, case studies, and thought leadership essays, requiring your expertise to enhance its flow, structure, and clarity while preserving its voice and purpose.
The manuscript is approximately 70 A4 pages, written in 10-point Calibri font. While some sections are polished and ready to go, others are still a work in progress. Additionally, much of the text has been refined using ChatGPT. It now requires a skilled editor to "humanize" it, ensuring it resonates with a diverse audience and retains a natural, engaging tone.
I am specifically looking for someone with experience working as an editor for a publishing house, particularly in the non-fiction genre

Scope of Work: - Refine the manuscript to ensure smooth flow and logical structure across sections. - Preserve the original tone and intent of the narrative. - Recommend reorganization of content if necessary to enhance coherence. - Conduct light copyediting for grammar, punctuation, and language consistency. - Humanize text refined by AI to ensure authenticity and relatability.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience editing manuscripts on gender equality, leadership, or cross-cultural themes. - Familiarity with Indian cultural contexts. - Ability to work with non-native English authors.
