My wife and I are looking for a one off piece of advice by the end of the week to help us to decide how to manage our finances considering whether we should increase pension contributions to access childcare funding, or overpay the mortgage to reduce the amount we pay in interest.
We have got quite far with a spreadsheet detailing different scenarios but have not factored in the mortgage element just yet. We have reached the point where we could really do with some professional advice and the accountants/financial advisers i have spoken with so far are unwilling to provide one-off advice like this.
We are also under time pressure as I will need to make applications for childcare funding next week and communicate any changes to my pension contributions via my employer. I would need this advice returned by the end of the week if at all possible.
