I need a Structural Engineer to design a cantilever balcony. The balcony it’s an oval structure about 5ft from the facade.
The condition are as follows:
1) existing concrete balcony attached to an existing concrete slab/ structure. And will be removed.
2). The new balcony will be a steel framed topped with metal decking and light weight concrete.
3) The new balcony structure/ cantilever steel members will be attached to the existing slab with a C Chanel anchored back to the existing concrete slab. I need help with sizing the bolts and members for the new structure. (See preliminary sketch design)
