We are seeking a skilled WordPress plugin developer to create a volunteer time-tracking system that integrates with our current database, CharitySuite. The plugin should enable volunteers to log their hours seamlessly via phone, tablet, or browser. A system-generated email with their PIN should be sent upon assignment.
Project and Task Selection:
Before clocking in, volunteers should be able to select the project and specific task(s) they’re working on. Volunteers should also have the ability to switch between projects and tasks during a shift as needed.
Integration with CharitySuite:
The plugin must integrate with CharitySuite via its API (API documentation here: https://churchsuite.com/api-and-json/) to pull volunteer data and log hours. When volunteers are designated in CharitySuite via tagging, they should be automatically assigned a PIN and receive an email notification.
Custom Metrics Capture:
When a volunteer clocks out, prompt them with customised metrics questions related to their project and task. For example, if a volunteer worked as a food packer for our food bank project, they should be asked how many parcels they packed that day.
Potential for Mobile App with GPS Tracking:
We would like to explore the option of this plugin becoming a mobile app for volunteers to install on their devices. This app would enable roles like delivery drivers to clock in/out and track their location via GPS while on duty. The app could link directly to the admin backend on WordPress, providing real-time location information for specific volunteers, allowing us to track active deliveries or other location-based tasks.
Administrative Backend Volunteer History Dashboard:
A centralised dashboard that allows administrators to view, add, edit, or remove volunteer time entries. The ability to assign, reassign, and modify entries by user, project, and task.
Comprehensive Reporting: Generate reports on volunteer hours for specific individuals, projects, or tasks. Exportable data formats for additional analysis.
Project & Task Management: Administrative tools to add or modify projects and tasks within the plugin as well as metrics questions. Link projects and tasks directly to volunteer assignments and hours logged.
Location Tracking for App Users: If app functionality is developed, the backend should display GPS data and route information for volunteers using the app while clocked in on location-based tasks.
Technical Requirements WordPress Compatibility: The plugin must be compatible with the latest WordPress versions. Responsive Design: Ensure functionality is optimised for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Security: PIN codes should be secure and protected to prevent unauthorised access, and GPS data should comply with privacy regulations. Documentation: Provide a user manual and technical documentation for ongoing maintenance.
