We are seeking to hire someone to assist with a variety of pre-production tasks for our YouTube videos. This individual will prepare the required assets for a given YouTube video. These may include: screen-recording videos, stock videos, and custom-prepared graphic design assets.
This is a "skilled generalist" position that really requires a grab-bag of different activities. What you will fundamentally be responsible for is: Getting everything that we need ready for a specific YouTube video. (All of these assets, once prepared, will then be handed off to our video-editor to be complied into the final YouTube video.)
Because good judgement, planning and creativity is needed to perform these functions will, the ideal candidate will be able to read a script for a given YouTube video, then independently be able to understand what assets would be ideally needed for each section of the video -- then take the initiative to prepare these assets, as appropriate.
The workflow will not involve us giving you a specific list of the number of items needed for a given video -- instead, we will hand off a video script to you, and expect you to use your experience and judgement in these areas to independently prepare whatever assets would be optimal for a given video.
The YouTube videos focus on a few main areas including Photoshop, graphic design, and ecommerce.
The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in the following areas:
--Performing screen-recording videos; --Video-editing (and understanding the process of what it's like to create a YouTube video + compile the needed assets for a video); --Graphic design (some videos may require a lot more custom images / visual illustrations to help communicate certain key concepts); --Photoshop (many of the videos are "how to do X in Photoshop" type videos, meaning you must be very experienced inside of Photoshop); --Stock video websites; --Midjourney image creation is a bonus (for fun custom images, etc);
Candidates must be fluent in the English language, and must also have an active Photoshop subscription.
If you perform well in this role, there will be consistent, ongoing work in this area. Please specify your desired hourly rate in your application; currently it's set to a flat rate just for getting the posting live.
