I am looking for someone to set up a system that will automatically add events to my calendar (either Google or Apple calendar) when new events are posted online to my local area. I would also like to receive a notification if it stops working.
Places where I've seen events posted are:
- Meetup (currently I can only get them added automatically if I confirm I am going)
- Facebook events
- Google's event results
- Local newspaper
- About 3 websites for local businesses
In the events, I would like the following information in the relevant event fields:
- Date and local time (set to my timezone)
- Address
- Direct URL to relevant page
- Description
- Price, if possible
If possible, I would like to try to weed out certain types of events so the calendar doesn't get too crowded (for example, live music at bars).
Please show that you have a clear idea of how this process works by discussing how you plan to do this in your reply.
