We have a code which has already been written in Java (Spring boot) and Angular. The database used in this case is MongoDB. The project has been built using java 8.
Now, we would like to fix some existing bugs (mainly on the backend) and add more features to the system. Here is the list of the items which must be done (the details can be discussed in a meeting and by sharing screens):
1) There are some bugs in the paginations. If I click on the second page, the page which is still shown to be selected is page 1, even though the data which is shown belongs to the second page. Also, when I click on the second page, I can’t go back to page one. That is, when I click on page “1” again, it doesn’t work. 2) At the moment, there is a bug in signing up and forgetting password. They don’t work properly and it must be fixed. 3) The users can collect points by uploading files or asking for a file. However, the pointing system is not working properly (by removing the files, etc. the points must be deducted), and it is also not changed directly, but works just after signing out and signing in again. I want to be able to see the changes directly. 4) There is a bug in uploading files. If I click on a button to upload a file, add a link to YouTube, click on “preview my file”, click on “cancel”, remove the YouTube video and upload a video from my own laptop, I still see the video from YouTube in the preview which is wrong. In this case, just the second file must be shown. 5) On this platform, you can add links from YouTube. However, we have realized that sometimes, the videos are not shown properly in google Chrome when you are not signed in to YouTube. 6) There is a “reporting” feature on this platform, which means that if you find an irrelevant file, you can report it as irrelevant. However, it is not always working properly. If you report an uploaded file and then the user who has uploaded the file deletes it, it is still shown as there. 7) For sign up and forget password, there is an email service to send an email to the user. At the moment, we are sending the email using the code and a Gmail address which is totally insecure. It must be changed to be more secure. 8) We should add cookies consent manager (using cookie-script.com tool). This part has more details. For instance, if the user clicks on a YouTube video preview, though he has not accepted the cookies before, he must be asked to activate the cookies to be able to watch the video. 9) The project must be migrated to AWS (probably S3 Bucket, but you should give us consultation what is the best solution) and also connected on our own domain. It means, we don’t want to use MongoDB anymore. 10) SSL certificate must be generated and activated for the project (probably using AWS) (you should give us consultation what is the best solution).
Project delivery requirements: 1. Please, apply to this job ONLY if you can do all parts. 2. The project is finished when it works properly on my own laptop. 3. If the freelancer delivers a code as the final code, I must have 7 days to test it. If any bug is found during this period, it must be fixed. The project is considered finished when the bugs found withing 7 days after the delivery date are fixed. The payment is done when all the bugs are also fixed. 4. The project must be well documented. Now, there is a guideline for the project, and everything works when I follow this guideline. If you change anything which needs the guideline to be changed, you should make the changes in the guideline, as well. 5. The code is responsive, and it should stay as it is. Anything which works right now, must be working after your delivery as well.
