I'm searching for a freelance website developer with excellent WordPress knowledge to support us with creating a new website for a publishing company.
The main pages are as follows: About, journals, books, announcements, contact, search function and blog
The journals section will be the main area of the site, we need to have some sort of functionality to bring the title of publications with higher downloads to the top of the results with a good filtering system or cite or any other indicators. Users will have to be registered on the site to access journal downloads (some will be free) and others will be paid downloads.
It also should have possibilities for presenting podcasts and videos related to journals on the individual journal and file pages.
In the Journals tab, we will have names and categories of different journals with similar pages. The following link could be used as an example to start:
https://jtap.srbiau.ac.ir/
In the member's area of the site, we need the following functionality: 1. The ability for different users to have varying levels of access (one journal- more than one journal- the whole publisher portal). 2- Ability to see messages in the portal when logging in and for us to be able to communicate announcements with members 3. Members being able to download journals from the website 4. Members being able to submit a journal to the website 5. Being able to export article files to XML
In the back-end, we need to be ble to create volumes/issues for a journal on the site.
I found that there is a journal system called OJS (Open Journal Systems) which is open source and might be useful.
An example of a journal page and structure we like can be found at: https://jtap.srbiau.ac.ir
In terms of the timeline, we would like to have the publishing page and the journal template to be ready by 19th July and the rest of the site by Monday 25th July.
Please let me know if you need to be provided anything for the publishing service pages.
Budget is around £500 and we're happy to use a theme over bespoke design if you know of anything suitable?
Site colours should be based on our logo attached.
