Expected duration: 1 - 6 months The company name might still be undecided, but the business is well underway producing content for top tier creators, business owners and entrepreneurs. You will be joining a new business with a focus on doing great work for great people.
Role Summary
We are looking for a UK-based social media specialist to join our growing content marketing agency, who is comfortable with creating and repurposing content for all major social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok.
We work as a content partner for our clients, identifying what is working in the fast-moving world of social media and backing up our ideas with implementation. Think Gary Vaynerchuk, Steven Bartlett, Mark Manson-esque content… we produce high volumes of content for our clients so that their social media presence has an impact.
The right candidate for this role knows what content works best across different platforms and will always be on the lookout for the latest social media trends and copywriting best practices. You will be comfortable in a fast-moving environment as we quite literally build new processes and systems every day for the business to match the demand we’re seeing for our work. The day-to-day role will be writing and creating content, where the expectation is high for both content quantity and content quality.
Role Scope: Looking to hire a freelancer immediately with 20+ hours per week availability on a 1-month contract. The right candidate for this role will be offered a 3-month contract with the opportunity for a full-time Content Executive position.
Location: Remote position (work from anywhere). We currently work asynchronously but we’re planning to meet up in-person more regularly in the future when possible for socials.
In this role, you can expect to:
- Work quickly and readily to produce large volumes of content. For almost every client we create daily content for multiple platforms, where you will handle multiple clients at once from content creation to general project management.
- Work to the expectation of having content always prepared and ready to post 2 weeks, or even a month, in advance. Efficiency is in our DNA. We work to get ahead as much as possible to have the headspace for our best ideas.
- Have your finger on the pulse of what content is working and what isn’t, with a can-do approach and a solution mindset.
- Write long-form content for different subject matters.
- Build engagement plans to keep client accounts active with ghostwriting.
- Consistently review content performance to refine a content strategy.
- Share the underlying data for the Content Manager's monthly client strategy calls. After your probation, there will be the opportunity to join strategy calls and to be client-facing if you would like to be.
The Skills You’ll Need:
- At least 2 years of experience in a relevant marketing or social media position.
- High level of English literacy with an eye for detail.
- Strong organisational ability to plan weeks in advance.
- Strong copywriting skills for short, engaging content.
- Working knowledge of how to repurpose content across multiple platforms.
- Novice to intermediate graphic design skills.
- The ability to create engaging microcontent such as TikToks and Reels.
