My name is Emma. I'm an astrologer with a website design and vision looking for someone to help me refine the Front-End (design, UI/UX, animated graphical interface) and integrate it with a secure, quick, and clean back-end development.
I had a great experience working with a web developer who taught me the JAMstack way using GitHub, Netlify CMS, Contentful for my portfolio website. I'm looking for something similar that will allow me to make personalized changes to my content over time. I enjoyed that approach but I'm open to other solutions based on what I need for my website. Note: I do not want a web builder or subscription service.

I have a basic outline of the functions I need my website to fulfill, though I am interested in hiring someone who can offer me ideas on how to improve UX/UI with the information and content of the website. It isn't absolutely necessary that my full stack developer can code the perfect graphical animation that I want. I'd rather hire someone more focused on front end code if it means a better product. But if I can avoid hiring out a separate gig, that is a huge advantage to me!
Key things my website should have:
1) ANIMATED GRADIENT BACKGROUND as the entire website background
- responsive animation code
- solutions to optimize website as to avoid lag of background animation
- designed with the content and brand in mind

2) SCHEDULER/BOOKING PLATFORM
- seamlessly branded into the website aka looks great with all brand elements
- my primary income source is astrology bookings, so I need a fully operational scheduler to book consultations. this should be a scheduler that requires people to pay upfront
- I'm naive if this affects my ability to do this through Jamstack, or if there are other building approaches that are better for a scheduler centric site.
- I've purchased Amelia plugin in the past, prior to knowing where I was headed with this website, not sure if that has any value anymore if I'm going with scratch build
- I've worked with Acuity Scheduler and am most frustrated with their fees
- eager to hear ideas people have to offer me an attractive and solid booking platform
3) PODCAST PLAYER
- I'm launching my podcast February 22, 2021, and want there to be a function to play my latest episode on the website itself
- button links to play the podcast on iTunes, Spotify, RSS,iTunes, YouTube, Google Play, Libsyn, Stitcher, Tune In, etc.
- a navigation button to open a page of previous episodes. This page would be a list of episode titles, date, with a play button function, with the ability to click for a drop down to see more under each episode title for a 2-3 sentence summary, and links to play the episode on other catchers, without leaving the page.
- this to all be designed along with the overall brand
4) ORB MOUSE :)
- a sphere that surrounds the mouse button, causing the pixels colors behind it to be inversed for instance (example: https://www.alessandroromagnoliph.it/), or something similar to incorporate the orb of my logo into the website experience.
5) EMAIL CATCHER
- email input integrated into an email list
- design aligned with rest of website/brand
6) SSL CERTIFICATE SERCURITY
7) BASIC SEO SERACHABILITY OPTIMIZATION
Design approaches I'm considering:
1) I could have all of these integrated into a scrolling landing page, with extra navigation buttons as we see fit for UI/UX for bookings and podcast links
2) I could have a simple introduction on my landing page with no scroll, and all my navigation buttons underneath the text, with no scroll effect.
I'm open to other design suggestions as well.
Most important to me is finding the right developer to can solve my key criteria, who gets the vibe, and can contribute to its design and layout in collaboration with me. The animation coding is a huge bonus! I look forward to meeting you and getting started on this project!
