More details will be provided to contractors who have a proven record of experience with podcast API or podcast hosting, distributing of podcast, and collection of podcast analytics.
I would like to create its own podcast hosting platform that will allow us to:
- Create podcast profiles
- Upload podcast episodes
- Generate XML/RSS feed for podcast distribution
- Aggregate statistics about podcast and episodes
- Create and manage accounts for podcasters (account creation on podcast directories like Itunes, Google, etc)
- Create and manage landing pages for podcasters including audio player, episode list, social media links, graphics, etc.
Similar systems would be: (all three of these have *more features then we need* but do contain the features we want.)

What I’m looking for is someone with experience in podcast API such as Itunes Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Sticher, Spotify, PodBeans, etc. More so interested in someone who has experience creating a program for account creation on the podcast directories and getting statistical information regarding podcast and episodes.
When bidding please start your bid with “I’m experience with Podcast APIs” so that I know you read this posting and did not just use a template when bidding. Then show me a portfolio or tell me what your experience is. Experience will be the number one factor in our decision. NOT the ability to code or understand APIs. While knowledge is important, we want someone who is experience with this type of work as we have short timelines and don’t want to spend a lot of time trying to learn the API’s etc.
Also you must be able to pass a code test after we review your git repository and before you will be hired (we will pay you for the code test). We need to make sure you can do quality code. If you are a Junior developer please do not apply. We have Senior developers on our team who will review your code quality during the interview process. They will also evaluate code quality throughout development. Do not apply if you do not feel comfortable having your code reviewed by our programming staff.
Lastly, this project is basically a few API implementations, a system to store audio files, an opensource Audio player, creation of an XML feed, and creation of a profile page for users. DO NOT over complicate this, you will be working with a development team and we know how to properly estimate project size etc.
Good contractors will continue to work with us past the MVP creating more features that can be discussed later. Looking forward to seeing your bids.
