I want it redone. • I am running WordPress 5.5. I have theme TwentyTwenty 1.5 installed. • I want to get rid of my current theme and only have a child theme based on the theme TwentyTwenty and, of course, using TwentyTwenty. • I want to trim the website and drop unused plugins, extensions, and unused images except images saved for future use. I can let you know which plugins I use and do not use. It is fairly up to date at the moment. • Need a fast image-loading option or plugin to speed up that process. • I want a mobile focus and, of course, a responsive design. • I do not have another website location for the development of the new website. However, you can make a sub menu website version for development on my current host such as https://kevinfitzmaurice.com/NewFitz • You should not do the redesign on my website. but you can copy it to work on. A few issues do need to fixed on the current website version while the other is being generated. • I do have Cpanel available and FileManger Pro available. • I can provide access to my website by giving you a user name and having WordPress send a password to your provided email address. Your email address will not be used for correspondence but only for website access. • A PHP upgrade is needed. • Broken links need to be fixed before moving the website over or copying it for the new build. • This is a private website hosted privately. Size of Website and Continuity • My website contains over 782 pages currently, and over 800 when counting product pages (currently 37 WooComerce product pages). Plus, it also has many pdf files that load on demand. • I plan to continue editing and adding content after the new version is live. • I update some pages daily and some others occasionally. • My website exists to sell my books and provide free information to help my reader and anyone with psychological problems. • My website is to exist after my death. My counseling clients have requested this. My son has promised to keep it going. My son now hosts it on his server that he has for his business. I do not need and do not want e-commerce on my website. My website is for referral only. • WooComerce should be eliminated and removed. However, the product pages will then need to organized as they were under WooComerce so that page links are not lost or broken. • I have Yoast SEO pro installed. However, I have not done the work that Yoast requires. Some SEO is currently built-in to the page design. • Social media plugins are also installed but not worked on. • Marketing plugins could be added but need to be automatic. • I spend my time writing, not marketing. • I spend my time writing, not building websites. Style of Website • I prefer a moving (sliders and other movement effects) and visually appealing modern website. • My website needs to be readable while promoting my books. No fancy back ground colors that make reading text difficult. • Easy to read pages of information is essential. • Currently, I am using “Slider Revolution,” but I want to drop it or have it fixed because it has problems with updates (my mobile slider is destroyed by updates so there are updates pending). I think TwentyTwenty has a built-in slider anyway. If not, a better one than Slider Revolution might be a good idea. • I do not want subscription plugins. I want to buy plugins or use free ones. • Let’s see Gutenberg block designs for the information pages. We want the final choice to be the standard for all information pages. • Let’s see designs for the splash screen on mobile and desktop. Estimate and Timeframe • First design the new website on your server or my subdomain for my approval. Then, and only then will you move my content into the new website. Then, and only then will I stop updating and adding pages. • Please provide low and high estimates. The high estimate can be considered as a tip above the agreed-upon price if you did more work than planned. • Please provide a timeframe for completion. • I see this as my buying two projects • I wish to monitor the website for problems and errors for one month, or more if needed, after the first project has been completed. At the end of one month, when all items have all been fixed, you will be paid. This can be handled by splitting up the payments, for example, one payment when the new web design is fully approved and active and one payment after one month of live testing and fixing.
