We’re looking for a detail-oriented copywriter with a strong track record of writing and proofing content and copy for a wide range of audiences across different platforms and channels including social media. We need remote contractors who can provide specialised skills to match our growth and contribute a maximum of 20 hours/week on a flexible, variable basis.
Even through COVID, we are growing, with an increasingly global clientele. We are adding to our team of freelancers and contractors to run operations and media campaign optimisation 24/7/365.
The work will be aligned with your skills across content writing (e.g. blog posts, articles and information guides, whitepapers and reports, as well as landing pages, social media captions, email campaigns, long-form and short-form copy, point of sale material, calls to action and much more.
As an independent contractor, you need to provide final copy that does not need to be edited or proofed by someone else.
With excellent English proficiency, you’re conscientious of and pay attention to detail. You obsess over grammar, avoid misspellings, abhor awkward sentence structure and hate muddled messages.
You must possess the language skills required to create compelling headlines, transitions and conclusions, make complex concepts simple and easy to understand, be able to empathise with readers while fully embracing the user experience and customer journey.
If you’re considering this part-time contractor role, here’s what we expect from you: • 3-5 years of writing and editing experience in a marketing communications environment • Advertising/promotional agency experience is strongly preferred • Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written) • Clear, concise and highly engaging writing skills • A thorough knowledge of Google Suite • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is an advantage, but not a necessity • Experience in using CMS systems such as WordPress is a plus • Knowledge of the creative briefing process, working with graphic designers, and the revision process • Experience with social media and SEO copy is a must • Knowledge of writing for commercials and promotional campaigns is an essential part of this role • Prior freelancing/contractor experience is a must.
