I am looking at an app developer who is able to build an app to work on both iPhone and Android devices.
This app will have 3 access levels: admin, business and user
The app will allow users to gain discounts from various shops. This will work as follows:
Business is set up on app by Admin, along with the location of their shop. Business is able to set up a Discounts, Charity Donations and Loyalty Stamp Cards. The business should be able to define the following: A) When a discount is valid from/until B) How long after first use a stamp card is valid and/or needs to be filled C) Add how each stamp is achieved (e.g. 1 stamp per £30 spent, maximum 2 stamps per purchase), how many stamps are needed and what a full stampcard will achieve. D) Whether there are any restrictions on the use of the discount or card (e.g. discount can only be used on Wednesdays between 2pm and 5pm, discount cannot be used in the month of December) E) What percentage of sale or amount should go to charity based on the spend of the user
The user will then be able to sign up to the app and either search the local area (using some form of map format), find the closest shops to them with offers or search for a specific shop. The user will receive a digital card with their name and expiry date (12 months after signup, this should be able to be defined at admin level)
How will the user be able to have their stamp card updated?
Each stamp card should have a UID and QR Code. The user will either be able to present their phone to be scanned by the business, or they will be able to provide the business with the UID to input. The business will enter the total value of the products sold and then select "Confirm" to confirm the user can receive the stamps. These will then be updated on the users device.
Once the stamp card is filled, the same process should happen. Once fufilled, the stampcard should be removed from the users app.
How will the user be able to take advantage of discounts?
Each discount should have a UID and QR code. The user will either be able to present their phone to be scanned by the business, or they will be able to provide the business with the UID to input. The business will enter the total value of the products sold and then select "Confirm". This will then confirm the total discount due to the user, as well as the total payable. (initial price minus discount). The business will then be able to amend the amount they charge to the customer. The user should have the option to pay via the app (if the business allows it)
All data from transactions should be shown on the business and admin logins (total sales, total discounts etc) The user should be able to see their total saved amount.
The choice to include payment integration using the app would be ideal, but the business would need to choose whether they wish to use this or not. Transactions should go directly to the individual business and charity donations to the admins defined bank account.
