We produce building survey reports with various appendices.
We currently complete the data merge (Excel to Word) and produce individual registers as appendices and introduce them into the final PDF but this knocks out or pagination for the entire Word document. The idea is to produce one report (word doc), the data going into the correct registers and resulting in the correct pagination.
We require one Excel database to merge in Word document, sounds easy but here comes the fun bit... We need to produce four registers within this one Word doc. Data to be positioned in the first three registers depending on certain conditions and the fourth register is a data dump where we have a single A4 page for one line of data where we attach a photo. There are other mail merge fields throughout the document such as the client (name and address), site address etc.
If you are up for a challenge then please respond. We have tried to complete this task so many times in the past 6 months, we've given in and are seeking help!!
